SLC Reflections

Due to our dishonesty, my patrol mates did not receive our slc certs at the end of the camp.I feel that what i could have done better would be to give the watermelon back to the camp warden and ask if it was alright to put the watermelon inside the fridge. This way, the watermelon would not have been thrown away and could also prevent us from wasting it as others could still eat it.Personally, i also feel that what i could have done better is to actually stop what my patrol mates  from vandalising the watermelon since i already knew that it was wrong. I could use this learning point to make me a better leader as whenever i see my juniors or batchmates doing something wrong like disrespecting seniors or mishandling equipment. This incident also taught me the value of honesty because it was dishonest of me to not admit when all of the campers were doing the punishments especially when i already knew that my patrol was the one who vandalised and threw away the watermelon. My act of dishonesty also means that i can't abide to the scout law of ‘a scout is to be trusted’ This can also help me to become as whenever my batch does something wrong i would always encourage them to admit to my adult leaders or teachers. I would also do the same to my juniors so that they can learn the good values from me.
