Act of service for the community

On 2nd January, my class went around the Lorong Liew Lian Neighbourhood for our community
service VIA. We headed out to the neighbourhood  to collect newspapers from houses to collect newspapers and recyclable materials. This experience was very enriching because we got to learn the different types of materials that can be recycled and the ones that could not be recycled. We also got to learn how recycling could positively impact our environment. By recycling, we could reduce our carbon footprint thus reducing the rate of global warming. During the activity, we also told the residents what we’ve learnt so that they could be more encouraged to recycle any of their recyclable materials and also be more aware about the purpose of this VIA project.
