Orientation Camp 2019
It was the second time i attended a Scouts Orientation Camp. Throughout this camp, i managed to bond with my fellow juniors and batchmates as well through the games and activities such as the station games, wet activities and the outdoor exploration. However, i have also met many obstacles throughout this camp as well, from the inspection in the morning, to having our tents flipped and also having all our bags wet due to the rain. However, with perseverance and resilience, i managed to pull through and overcome these obstacles. I also feel that this camp has given me the chance to step up and guide the juniors. An example would be during the tent pitching session where i taught and guided them on how to set up the tents and also helped them if they needed any help. Personally, the activity that i enjoyed the most was the outdoor exploration around the Serangoon neighbourhood. I enjoyed this the most as we got to go out of the school as a patrol. Furthermore, what made it more fun was that riddles were incorporated where each will lead us to the next checkpoint or location. Also, the games also served as a good way for me to bond with my juniors as well. Later that night i also received my troop scarf after the investiture ceremony. I was honestly pretty excited when i wore it as it gave me a sense of pride to represent the troop with the troop scarf. Overall, it was a very fun and well executed camp and i would not mind going it again.
My new troop scarf :D
